Volunteering in the community
Greyhound employees give around 5,000 hours of their time to charitable organizations and events every year. Donations are great (and we do that, too), but sometimes what's really needed is an extra pair of hands.
Our Helping Hound program
Helping Hound is our employee volunteer program. You might have already bumped into us at a fundraising drive, rubbed elbows at a community event, or even spotted us panting along a 10k charity race. You can’t miss us – we’re the ones in the bright blue and white Helping Hound shirts (which we think are very cool, by the way).
How it works:
Usually one of our staff, or the Helping Hounds committee finds a cause to support that is close to their heart or their home and gets other employees involved.
Or, an organization ask for volunteers, and we help recruit staff for them. Since we have over 6,000 employees, it's a great way to spread the word about a volunteering opportunity to a lot of people. As a company, Greyhound actively supports these volunteering initiatives – providing team shirts and transportation on some occasions. And of course, spreading the word across our internal and social networks.
If you're an organization looking to recruit volunteers, please fill in our volunteer request form and we'll let you know how we can help.
